Our Favorite RestaurantsThese are the restaurants we offer as our first recommendation, and to which many of our guests journey. Each is different, and each receives outstanding reviews. We are more than happy to assist with reservations and directions. Il' Cena Colo Truly an exceptional dining experience,. This restaurant, which is about a 20 minute drive, offers fine northern Italian (Tuscan) cuisine and received a 27 out of 30 possible points from Zagat's. Their wine list is the Who's Who of Italian wines. Don't even bother with the printed menu, as the specials are extensive and extraordinary. The service is outstanding as well (and many of the waiters prepare the desserts themselves). Price for two with a moderate bottle of wine is in the $125 - $150 range. Closed Tuesdays. Dinner only. Reservations a must. Only a mile away, this restaurant offers a wide range of menu items and was selected "Best restaurant in Orange County" by Hudson Valley Magazine. The owner/chef, Hans Baumann, is a Swiss trained chef and speaks German fluently. Traditional German dishes such as wienerschnitzel and spaetzle are available, but they offer pastas, steaks, seafood, and a roast duck about which our guests rave. Desserts are delectable. Dinner for two with a moderate bottle of wine is about $70. Midweek specials. Closed Sunday and Monday. Reservations recommended. Newburgh Waterfront Only 15 minutes away, you can dine on the banks of the beautiful Hudson River. There are 6-7 restaurants on the water, however, our two favorites follow:

grill is nestled on
Cena 2000 is owned by the same gentleman who owns Il' Cena Colo. This restaurant is a step down in price and quality vs. Il' Cena Colo, however, the food is still very good and the ambience on the Hudson River is amazing! Dinner for two with a moderate bottle of wine around $80- $100.
Owned by two Culinary Institute of America graduates. Drew's is located in the quaint town of Cornwall on Hudson, only 5 minutes from Cromwell Manor Inn. Entree's average $21 - $29 and include items such as Coq Au Vin, Poulet Et L'Estraggon, and Filet Mignon with choice of sauce.
About three miles away, in Cornwall-on-Hudson, this restaurant offers casual fare in a relaxed atmosphere. Burgers, salads, pastas, and pulled pork bbq are served with regular or sweet potato fries. Painter's has an extensive bar and is decorated with an ever-changing art exhibit, from whence the name. Dinner for two with a moderate bottle of wine $60-$70. Prima Pizza in Cornwall has a dining room, but also delivers. This restaurant actually ships pizza throughout the USA and was voted best in shipped pizza by the Wall Street Journal.
